I am finishing up the last of my waitlist this coming week, After a short vacation the week after Memorial Day I will start making up strops again and begin a new waitlist. Thank you for visiting my storefront. This is just a sideline business and in order to keep my workload at a reasonable level I will be working on a waitlist basis instead of listing products for sale through the storefront. I am able to complete just 6 pieces each week and will be taking orders via email only. I will take one week worth of orders and invoice via Paypal when assembly begins which is typically 1 week before the strop is ready to ship.
Once my week's production limit is sold out I then will take notification requests for the next 2 weeks production. I will work on these in the order they come in and will email and invoice you when your strop is started. This is a "no obligation" wait list and if you change your mind while waiting, no problem. I do appreciate all the loyal customers who have choosen my strops already and those now eager to buy but I simply cannot keep up with the demand so I need to offer these in a way that meets my available time and other obligations. New Premium Steerhide
The Premium Butt Section Steerhide has become my new standard for my strops. This is a specially finished leather selected from the butt area for extra strength and minimal stretch. I hand select every one of these hides in person so I know I will get the surface quality and suppleness I demand for my strops. These superior hides have a special surface finish giving them a buttery smooth, light to medium draw. These have been hand worked to have a nice supple feel but still plenty of boby to hold up well and not feel floppy like thinner leathers will. They are used on all of my strop models right now. Pairing the steerhide with my Genuine Natural Linen will give a superior quality strop that I and many others feel outperforms most strops on the market today.

Please note that the USA has had drastic postage increases effective Jan. 22nd. International shipping rates have increased by nearly $10.
International customers, please use e-mail to place your orders. Due to recent USA Postal Service increases typical Priority Mail shipping for strops to Canada is now $25.00 and to the rest of the world is $39.00. Please be aware that customs charges and duties will also likely apply upon arrival and that I must declare and honest and accurate value as merchandise on the shipping documents.

Thanks for looking at my products. This is a small, Christian owned and run business and my products are all made here by hand, by me. I'm not a big business with a storefront or staff, and I don't stock and resell some other makers products or have others simply manufacture to my design. I am the craftsman, the manufacturer and the designer.
All of my products are designed, cut and finished completely within my own shop. My familiar strop, handle and cap designs, and the use of of Latigo leather and modular construction are now common with other makers. All of these innovations started here at The Heirloom Razor Strop Company and were based on my years of experience in leatherworking. My designs and materials have evolved the past 6 1/2 years through hands on testing of many prototypes and much positive customer feedback. When you buy an Heirloom Strop you buy from the designer and the maker.
My Artisan™, Heirloom™, Old No.2™, Notovan™, and Old Timer™ strops are of my own design and trademarked names. Please note that similar looking designs and "Heirloom" and "Artisan" named strops and sets found elsewhere are simply copies neither made by, nor endorsed by me.
The components for my products are made here in small runs each week and then assembled to order one at a time when you place your order. I don't make up dozens of strops and simply fill orders, I build to your requests from my proven designs and materials. My designs and leather options will vary from time to time but will always be from materials that have proven themselves over the years. My Steerhide and various Horsehides are hand selected and hand worked to provide just the right feel. Every piece is cut one at a time to insure the best surface quality. My Horsehide and Steerhide strops are cut only from premium #1 grade hides. Typically only 50% to 60% of the hide is deemed usable for what I will put my Heirloom™ name on. The rest becomes trim pieces or is thrown away as waste. If I would not own and use it myself, I will not sell it.
